Wallter’s in the beautiful Alter Wall spoils you with wine, steak and a beautiful view. The focus of the Wine & Beef Kontor is, of course, delicious wine and top-quality meat along with mashed potatoes, truffles and chips. Even if one might think that Wallter’s is not the best address for vegetarians, the veggie alternatives are also convincing, such as the aubergine au gratin with cauliflower cream. Nevertheless, being a meat eater at Wallter’s is simply fun and pure pleasure. The same goes for the ambience, a mix of French bistro and insular look, as well as the view of the venerable façade of Hamburg’s city hall. An evening at Wallter’s is accordingly a little more upscale in price and thus a perfect address for a special occasion.
