Before this, Zurich never had a market hall. Happily, and in line with one’s expectations, everything on offer here is of the highest quality that the Swiss cantons have to offer. Several Zurich stores have a second location in the Viadukt, such as the famous Trittkäse – an expert in its trade and whose staff are always open to having a chat about their products. Even Swiss Slow Food runs a stall, rendering the venue a worthy culinary experience, even on cold days. Lunchtime is perfect for trying the fresh local produce in the market hall.
