Varelli is a Greek restaurant right on the water. Bright pink rooms are the last thing you would expect to find in a place like this, but for some reason it looks fantastic, especially if you keep in mind the saying “Pink isn’t a color. It’s an attitude.” On those pink walls hang rows of old black-and-white photographs from Greece. The menu is extensive, the quality of food first class, the prices for the mezze more than fair. We were particularly taken by the house specialty appetizer: ripe tomatoes mixed with toasted bread crumbs topped with feta.
