The Slow Food movement founded the world’s first University of Gastronomic Sciences in Bra. It offers a wide range of courses, from the right scientific education, additional vocational training, professional development and technical training to courses for ambitious amateur chefs.
Today the following courses are offered:
three-year course in gastronomic sciences,
two-year postgraduate course in “New Gastronomy Entrepreneurship” and “Sustainable Management of Gastronomic Resources”,
four one-year Master post laurea in Food Culture and Communications (Food, Place and Identity, Human Ecology and Sustainability, High-Quality Products, Representation, Meaning and Media)
Higher technical education with various courses to prepare the professions with the highest demand in the food sector (baker, pizza baker, brewer, pork butcher, cheese affineur and service manager in the restaurant),
Course in high domestic cuisine intended for a passionate audience.
