The Trocadero has been an institute in the Dublin dining scene since 1966. The velvety red of the interior creates a glimmering, sensuous atmosphere in Dublin’s oldest theatre-restaurant, while the art-nouveau lamps are the icing on the cake. Black and white portraits of actors and celebrities fill the walls of the large space. Lively large parties sit together, while couples often opt for the comfy booths or plush seats and singles prefer to seize a spot at the bar. The later it is in the evening, the more truly interesting characters emerge at the Trocadero. It’s therefore also worth it to drop by just for a drink.
