The Toubkal National Park is the highest mountain in North Africa and is located in the Atlas Mountains in the south of Morocco, about 70km from Marrakech. The Atlas impresses with its rugged peaks and steep flanks that drop steeply towards the Atlantic and the Sous plain. The most beautiful season to visit Toubkal National Park is autumn or spring, when the mountainous regions of the High Atlas are covered in a splendid blossom dress. The entire Toubkal National Park is crossed by an extensive network of hiking trails, which can be extended from harmless afternoon walks to trekking tours lasting several days. A special highlight is the Armed Circuit, which leads through remote mountain villages, past fantastic vantage points to the picturesque Lac d’Infi.
