Nestled among the immaculate white townhouses near Paddington, The Cleveland Arms claims with good reason to be “Paddington’s pub since 1852”. The shabby-chic pub is an institution in the area. You can just pop in for a pint or glass of wine, as you would in any pub, or make yourself comfortable in the back and let the up-and-coming Michelin-starred chef Elisabeth Passedat treat you to some culinary delights. Modern interpretations of European dishes are served: beetroot with soft-boiled egg and black mustard dressing, aubergine with sesame seeds and couscous, or duck breast with salsify, polenta and cardamom jus. But our favourite Sunday meal is the classic Sunday Roast at The Clebeland Arms pub. Then you shouldn’t miss the thinly sliced and melt-in-the-mouth roast beef from the ring.
