Tel Aviv lays all along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, dotted with beautiful beaches. The locals spend every free minute in the sand enjoying the sun and playing the national sport “matkot” (beach ball). There is definitely a beach for everyone in TelAviv; next to the port, there is “Mezizim Beach”, a beach most appropriate for family days out. Moving a little further south you will find “Religious Beach”, a gender segregated beach. At the foot of the Hilton hotel, lies “Dog Beach” which is followed southwards by Israel’s gay community’s favourite beach. A little further along in the next bay is the best place for surfers to try and catch a wave or two. But if surfing is not quite the sport you are after head to “Gordon Beach” where you can practice your beach volleyball skills to your hearts content. If after a long day of volleyball and tanning you wish for nothing more than a beautiful sunset to end your perfect day head to “Banana Beach” or “Manta Ray Beach”.
