This famous bookstore, which is just a few steps away from the banks of the Seine, was already founded in 1919. It´s a duty of every booklover, who visits Paris to have a look in this treasure chest of books. There is no corner in the whole shop without a book. This chaotic and overloaded interior is the spirit of the shop. Not only Woody Allen felt in love with this place and filmed some scenes in this bookstore, but also Ernest Hemingway, T.S. Elior or Scott Fitzgerald were regular customers.
