A street width away from the Tegernsee lake, the 17 rooms with their turned balconies offer a wonderful view of the water. During the renovation, the Seehotel Luipold was equipped with a mixture of antique and modern furniture, so that in the entrance hall baroque furniture meets restored stone floors and a large chandelier that occupies the entire staircase. This mixture extends into the rooms: designer beds under wooden beams and sometimes a mural painting.
The atmosphere is homely with the warm lamps, the checkered bed linen, the Philippe Starck or Lefroy Brooks bathrooms and the simple upholstery. If you can choose, you should choose one of the upper corner rooms, as you can enjoy the view in several directions from the balcony.
The in-house restaurant has the motto “Anything goes” and mixes classics such as fried chicken, fried lake trout or Wiener Schnitzel with tapas,
Lamb fillet on Greek salad and Thai curry and for dessert traditional Kaiserschmarren. All this can be enjoyed – even with a spectacular sunset – on the lake terrace. If you like, just have a drink.
A few steps further you can relax in the monte mare, a thermal spa with saunas and sun terrace, from where you can reach the lake via a few wooden steps.
