The Ristorante Il Rivale is a safe address for a somewhat finer Italian cuisine without getting too lost in the direction of “frothy to, on, at”. It is beautifully presented on the plates without being over-crowded. The interior is friendly elegant with a French country house twist. The restaurant is well known for its good “Bistecca”, but also for the wonderful desserts. Also the cheese platter as an alternative was absolutely round with the matching fruit jellies.
