Osvaldo is all about the glowing coal in the big black grill. The Ristorante at Portese harbour is a real insider tip. Surrounded by a small wall and in the shade of the lime trees you sit in a picturesque scenery directly at the lake and can enjoy authentic and traditional dishes. The view of the Gardone Riviera and Vittoriale is fantastic and is completed by the swinging boats in the harbour.
The heart of the restaurant is the grill. The secret of the optimal preparation of meat and fish is now passed on by the third generation. Before being prepared, the fish are marinated in a marinade based on family secrets and coated with rosemary, then seasoned and put on the grill. In addition to freshwater and saltwater fish, Osvaldo also offers excellent meat dishes.
For rainy days some tables are also available in the restaurant, but it is much nicer outside.
In 2008 the father of the house published a detective novel with the title: “Il volo dell’Angelo filo”.
So far the novel is only available in Italian, is set on Lake Garda, sounds mysterious and can be read in the restaurant.
