Four young people took over the traditional restaurant Herrenhaus in 2008. They all work together, Matthias Schmid and Mike Oehlke in the kitchen, Maria Schmid and Anne Schatzl in the service. The menu is special: fried sardines with bean salad and bacon foam, saddle of venison with cauliflower, artichokes and celery puree or monkfish with beans, pears and bacon. When the team took over, they cleaned the whole restaurant of the old muffin. Some walls were left raw, others were simply painted. The wood is dark and the atmosphere is wonderfully simple – with a lot of cosiness due to the many candles.
