The Barr moved into the house where Noma, who was regularly voted the world’s best restaurant, lived for many years. If that alone is not reason enough to stop by. The two makers, Thorsten and René, offer casual food with Nordic roots, craft beer and a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen loves to experiment with traditional dishes such as meatballs and schnitzels as well as with British meat stews. The Barr is a beautiful, uncomplicated place, especially for lunch. And don’t miss the “Old fashioned ice cream” – a creamy little sin filled with spruce needle oil, blueberries and spruce needles.
