Piccolo Napoli has been one of the best fish restaurants in Palermo since 1951. At first glance, this charming institution impresses with its lavish fish display of the freshest quality. The restaurant in the Borgo Vecchio is a family business like a picture book. Father Orazio Corona opened it 62 years ago, his two sons Pippo and Gianni run it today with the same dedication. Their love for traditional cuisine can be found in every gesture, it can be tasted in the passionate preparation of the dishes and it is reflected in the happy faces of the guests. On the menu you will find typical polemical dishes which, according to tradition, still cook most families today. We recommend antipasti, such as chickpea pinella, grilled vegetables and caponata. Also excellent are the “Spaghetti al nero di Seppia”, the “Bucatini con Sarde” or the “Involtini di Spatola” (roulades of Sicilian spatula fish with bay leaves and raisins) and the fish secondi. The Piccolo Napoli is no longer an insider’s tip, but you can eat here with the locals in an uncomplicated, cosy atmosphere. A real pearl!
