The Osteria Sottoriva is romantically situated under the arcades of the Via Sottoriva, which gave the name to the oldest Osteria in the city. Hardly anything has changed here. At some small tables, there are some regular guests sitting who felt that they spent the whole life on these chairs and that they did not let themselves be scared away by the visitors. That’s good, because this mix of worlds is what makes these places so special. The food is good, but certainly not the main reason to come here. A good choice is lasagne or polenta with “verdure cotte miste”, variously cooked vegetables. A contradictory classic is the “tagliata di cavallo” with fresh tomatoes. Horsemeat smoked. It is worth mentioning.
