This truly special place seems as if it were from another world. Film maker and furniture designer Blake Simson has carefully renovated his 1950s-style motel and filled it with vintage objects and other flea-market gems that blend in perfectly with Joshua Tree’s beautiful desert landscape. The hotel offers a total of five suites, each with a small kitchen, record player and private terrace leading out to the large wild garden and furnished with vintage Eames chairs, a big wooden table, collections of cacti, fountains and Buddha figures.
