Maison François may be one of the new kids in town, but it’s an old-school, classic place. The food is good, but the service is excellent and, as we know, that’s not always the case these days. The brasserie is located in the heart of St James’ and pays homage to the great brasseries of Paris, Lyon and Alsace. The Maison François, which is open from early morning until midnight, favours simplicity and seasonality and serves bread from its own bakery. The charming thing about the all-day brasserie is definitely that you can turn up here at any time, whether elegant or dishevelled. You can order a Pichet Burgundy at 11am and be treated as if you were Brigitte Bardot in 1973 taking a breather from feeding donkeys.
