Anyone who has completed their first 10,000 steps through Paris and wants to take a break from the hustle and bustle can do so peacefully at Maison Fleuret. Not far from the Boulevard Saint Germain des Prés, you will find a place of tranquillity here. Just as it was in 1872, when the Maison was still a bookshop. Its ‘no screens allowed’ principle invites you to slow down. And it actually works. People come here to chat, paint or read. Between walls of white books and under a surrealist chandelier reminiscent of Giacometti, it’s easy to lose track of time. The menu offers refined breakfast creations that change according to the season, homemade cakes and my personal highlight: their fabulous crème brûlée with its crunchy caramel crust that cracks seductively when you break the first spoonful.
