Lühmanns will satisfy any yearnings you have for the cosy cafes of the past with its steaming tea pots, colourful candies and covered apple cakes. The antique interiors are in a classic north-German style, and everything works perfectly together in this historic country house. In the middle of it all countless freshly baked cakes are arranged on long tables. Not only do they look delicious, they taste exactly like something your Oma would serve in her living room. The clientele are mainly women chatting among the antique furniture, scones with clotted cream or a slice of cheesecake spread out before them, still warm from the oven. Lühmanns is also famous for its breakfast. If you’re after something savoury, take the salty North Sea crab with salmon. If it’s something sweet you desire, try some of the homemade marmelade and first-rate honey.
