The Löwenbräu premises are a popular address for Zurich’s art scene. Apart from the gallery Hauer & Wirth and the Kunsthalle, Migros Museum of Contemporary Art is worth a visit. Sponsored by Swiss retailer Migros, the museum shows internationally renowned exhibitions of temporary art (as of the 1960s). Pieces by artists such as Yoko Ono or Tadeuzs Kantor are part of its program. The museum specializes on performance arts and film. Goal is to put art in a societal and social context.
