The Klosterstüberl Fischbachau of the Augustiner brewery is located at the foot of the Breitenstein. The historic vaulted ceilings of the restaurant and the shady beer garden always offer enough space even on busy days. In summer, you can enjoy wonderful mountain views from the beer garden, in winter you sit in the cosy parlour. No matter what you order, a lot of attention is paid to detail here – without this being noticeable in the price. Whereas in other Bavarian inns the side salad is at best a mediocre supporting actor, in the Klosterstüberl it enjoys as much attention as the accompanying main course with a special dressing and a wide variety of salads. The many little things like beetroot-horseradish waffles with the fish or the edible flowers of the garnish provide a positive surprise to otherwise familiar Bavarian classics.
