Every Garmisch-Partenkirchener has been to the coffee house Krönner, either outside under the big umbrellas in the pedestrian zone, inside in the golden coffee house or on the terrace on the first floor, including a view of the mountains. You should try the not too sweet nut bites or the salty, fried balls. And especially the “Agnes Bernauer Torte”, which is dedicated to the daughter of a bathhouse owner who was drowned in 1435 because she had an inappropriate relationship with Duke Albrecht III. Although on a terrible occasion, the almond nut meringue tastes wonderfully sweet with its mocha butter cream filling.
