During the search for a good fish restaurant it is noticeable that Vienna does not have a very big offer. Nevertheless I make the attempt. He takes me to the small family-run restaurant Goldfisch am Lerchen Berg. The interior is simple, with a colour scheme based on the motto sea, blue and white. A few steps up and I am standing in front of a showcase with fresh fish. While looking over the menu the (salt) water in my mouth is running down. During the week I have lunch with starter and main course for less than 14 Euro. Amazing. There are two dishes to choose from, but both sound so good that it is hard to decide. First I get the tartar of smoked trout, followed by the pot au feu with moscardini. With a fantastic Blanc de Blanc from the Schödl winery. In the evening we eat à la carte, the menu reads like a maritime poem. If you are longing for fish in Vienna, you should definitely take a bath here!
