Sommelier Johannes Schellhorn and the co-founder of the Cordobar, Willi Schlögl, have not only brought the best wines in the world to Berlin with the Weinbar Freundschaft, but also a touch of Austrian cosiness. The friendship should be a lively, authentic wine bar, with a real tavern flair, the two say. And that’s exactly the way it is. You are greeted with “Servus, Freundschaft!” and you either sit at the Budl, the big round bar, or at the big Stammtisch and have the choice between 500 international positions. Culinary delights are not lacking either, of course, chef Stefanie La takes care of that, serving a delicious beef salad with Styrian pumpkin seed oil and goulash.
