FREA is the first vegan zero-waste restaurant in Berlin. Here comes good and casual design and delicious conscious food perfectly together. And with great success: the restaurant has just been justifiably named Berlin’s trendy restaurant for 2019. David Johannes Suchy and Jasmin Martin take a holistic approach: regional, environmentally friendly, sustainable and without producing waste. Although the concept may sound like a renunciation at first, diversity, taste, interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic atmosphere are at the forefront here. Classics such as homemade sourdough bread, handmade pasta or hazelnut milk from their own manufacture can also be purchased in the shop or learned how to prepare them in workshops. The pasta with parsnip cream and roasted sourdough bread with 2 dips are a must and “todiefor”.
