Frau Gerolds Garten is a combination of a Gartenbeiz, what one calls a beer garden in Zurich, an urban gardening project, and a tiny container mall. Spread out over 2500 square meters colorful shipping containers, serving as bars and shops, wine barrels as flowerpots, and vegetable gardens in which the ingredients for the restaurant are grown are strewn about colorfully. There is plenty of room to sit and chill, but on warmer summer evenings it is pretty difficult to find a spot. In contrast to other urban gardening projects, people from all walks of life come together here. Bankers sit next to young families and hipsters share tables with tourists.
