Already after a few days hair and skin have a special shine from the marvellous salt air of the saltworks and the thermal water from the hotel Font Santa. The Romans already knew how to appreciate the thermal waters, but it was only when the swine fever hit the island in the Middle Ages and only the animals that had previously soaked themselves in the thermal waters were spared that their healing powers were recognised. In the 15th century they built a church as a thank you, which today gives the hotel its special charm. In 2010, Pedro Pablo Fullana Oliver, together with Antoní Esteva, transformed the former spa complex into a spacious hotel. Almost all rooms have their own terrace or balcony. The view over the nature reserve Es Salobrar de Campos with its salt flats opens up wonderfully. The garden around the property is laid out with pine trees, palm trees and Mediterranean flowers. For the balance the pool provides and for relaxation the Jacuzzis. But the special thing is the spa with the famous thermal water. On a warm summer evening you can relax on the terrace and enjoy the modern Spanish nouvelle cousin of chef José Vicente Tarin. And there is a perfect wine accompaniment.
