The Fondaco dei Tedeschi was the branch of rich German merchants in Venice at the Canal Grande directly next to the Rialto Bridge in the Sestiere San Marco. The former trading house now houses a luxury department store. The highlight, however, is the roof terrace, which can be visited free of charge. However, a time has to be reserved here, either via the internet or via tablets set up on site. From the roof terrace, one has a wonderful view to the roofs of Venice.
