Èpique is definitely a reason to make a trip to Haidhausen again. The Raw Patisserie is not only a culinary highlight, but also a feast for the eyes. Behind the concept is the Berlin studio Aisslinger, which has succeeded in bringing a colourful, minimalist design to Munich, which is usually so stiff and refined. But it’s not only the products and the interior that are great, but also the makers of Èpique, Eva and Dirk Johnston. The two studied musical performers fell in love while working on “Mamma Mia” and discovered their shared love for raw cakes. There is just as much surprise in the small vegan cakes, which are full of flavour pairings and completely free of industrial sugar. A healthy sin, so to speak, we love it!
