Copenhagen Contemporary is a major international art centre specialising in contemporary installation art. It is located in the impressive former B&W welding hall. The exhibition space is huge at 7,000 square metres. This makes it possible to present large-format and technically sophisticated works by contemporary artists in a unique industrial setting, and the exhibitions change regularly in an attempt to actively involve the public. the art centre is intended for a wide audience, real connoisseurs, families and, of course, tourists. Events such as art talks, workshops for children and concerts are organised regularly. The museum shop in the Contemporary offers a great selection of Scandinavian design, art books, souvenirs and other unique products, as well as very special toys.
