At Ciao Chang, Bavaria meets Japan, that’s right, a Bavarian Japanese. Behind it are Daniel Wäcker and Dúc Ngyuen, who are both already familiar dogs in the Munich gastro scene with both the coffee bar “Junge Römer” and the Vietnamese “Enter The Dragon”. So they have lovingly decorated the quaint pub with cherry blossom branches, Japanese film posters and origami swallows and serve Bavarian Pho, yakitori wagyu planters with egg yolk and miso mushroom soups. They place particular emphasis on regional ingredients: Tofu from Oberding, Wagyu beef from Tegernsee and miso from the Black Forest. What a refreshing symbiosis – and in an otherwise classic Munich. Early reservation is recommended!
