As a heads-up, the drive to Casa Mãeg is a little adventure and is a matter of millimetres when passing through the alleys of Lagos. But once arrived, the efforts clearly feels worth it. The property is surrounded by the imposing city wall and consists of a family house from the 19th century, 5000 square meters of vegetable garden and a minimalist extension with sun-dried terracotta floors. Admittedly, this extensive area would not have been expected from the outside. Casa Mãe is a true heritage that is now being revived and combined with modern creativity. Here you can relax wonderfully, hang out by the pool or enjoy the light cuisine of the Orta restaurant in the palm courtyard – most of the products, of course, come from the hotel’s own farm.
