The seventeenth century building, located at Via Ghibellina, houses masterpieces of Michelangelo related to the interesting and long familiy history of the Buonarottis. The family did everything during their lifetime to enlarge their precious art collection. Not only the works of Michelangelo, but also paintings, scuptures from other artists, majolicas and an archaelogical section are arranged on the museum’s two floors. The Casa Buonarrotti is not only a beautiful museum, but also an impressive monument.
