In the south of Palma, where the untouched, beautiful cliffs begin, an imposing fortress rises lonely above the sea. The thick natural stone walls, the oriental-look employees, the sea views – luxurious and unique. No wonder Cap Rocat is one of the coolest photo settings in the magazines. At the end of the 19th century, the Spaniards erected the imposing military fortress to defend the island, but it was never involved in any battles – which is why Cap Rocat’s motto is “Make love, not war! The designer Antonio Obrador converted the former bunkers into casual luxury rooms with private terraces, as if they had been built precisely for this purpose. If you book in advance, you can eat in the relatively inexpensive Sea Club restaurant, which is located below the fortress above Cala de la Reina. From the terrace you can see Palma in the distance. The best fresh fish is prepared on the grill and in the wood oven with regional ingredients. You should not miss the location alone.
