Lucky for us, even after the new owner of the former Café Schober changed its name and completely renovated the building, it is still possible to order the beloved drinking chocolate served with whipped cream and zöpfli, and to sample the famous cakes, baked fresh daily to the traditional Schober recipes. The building dating from the turn of the 20th century now also enjoys a breath of fresh air with the addition of exquisite Croissants and Macarons by star French pastry chef Patrick Mésiano, and the Salon Rouge. To top it off, excellent tea and coffee specialties are delivered by Swiss coffee-establishment Schwarzenbach.
