The Bräustüberl takes them all in: Locals and vacationers, happy and thoughtful and of course hungry and thirsty. She is at home under the vaults of Tegernsee Castle, the famous “Liberalitas Bavaria” and has been for over three centuries. In short, the Braustüberl is a traditional place. Already during the reign of King Max I. Josef the locals met European nobility here, followed by summer visitors and artists, beautiful, rich, important and quite normal people. And that is still true today. Bavarian, hearty and cozy, this old-Bavarian traditional temple is the place to be. The cuisine is home-style Bavarian, whether Weißwürste, Schweinshaxn and Bierbratl or a smoked char filet from the fishery next door. And of course: Tegernseer Hell, Spezial or Dunkel do not taste as fresh as here anywhere else.
