In the middle of Volpaia there is a church with a charming square surrounded by both Barucci family restaurants. The Bar Ucci, a wine bar opposite the Bottega, belongs to Gina’s daughter Poala. Here you can have a snack with a glass of wine or a cappuccino at any time of the day until 9 pm.
Volpaia is situated directly on the pilgrim path to Rome and the Barucci family has had the right to offer accommodation and food for 300 years. That’s how it was back then. The care of travellers has been in their blood for generations. From Volpaia you can walk a beautiful route to Lusignano.
