The Kult bakery is a true jewel of a bakery. And the name says it all – the old bakery has always enjoyed cult status in Kleinbasel and beyond that, there is also true cult behind the counter, because the aim is to impart knowledge about good bread and pastries. Through the glass panes, you can look directly at the baker’s journeyman on the work tables and watch how peaks are brought into shape in no time at all. And also otherwise the buttery croissants, the unforgettable almond peaks, the XXL plait or the delicious Gugelhopf between flour and clinking hands can be spotted before it is served on the plate or packed to go.
