The 18th century Cape Dutch Farm, located between Paarl and Franschhoek, is curated by the South African media mogul couple Koos Bekker and Karen Roos. Karen used to be editor-in-chief of the Spanish Elle Decoration. So it’s no wonder that every corner is filled with aesthetics. Those who can take some of this home with them have the chance to stock up in the store located on the property – from olive oil to Babylonstoren wines, jams, linen bed linen, scented candles to freshly baked bread. And the nice thing is, almost everything you consume in Babylonstoren is also produced there.
