The Avalon (formerly the Beverly Carlton Hotel), where Marilyn Monroe once lived, is a low building from the 1950s located in the best part of Beverly Hills on a quiet street just a few blocks from Rodeo Drive. The heart of the hotel is its inner courtyard with its vintage pool and Italian restaurant, Oliveira. The pool garden is a favorite spot for weekend brunches (don’t forget to try the Olivero burger with truffle cheese!) and also quite lively at cocktail hour.
