40 minutes from Lisbon and the roaring Atlantic Ocean, Areias do Seixa Santa Cruz focuses on sustainability. With lots of wood, flotsam, dried flowers, hanging fireplaces and modern design, it celebrates its very own style – including a swing at the reception and staff wearing traditional aprons from the region. With huge glass fronts, the views of the gardens, dunes and sea are also spectacular. Greenhouses are used to grow lettuce, courgettes, tomatoes and many other vegetables, which end up on the plate as well as on the breakfast buffet with green juices, fresh fruit, homemade cakes, omelettes and everything else your heart desires.
