Dario Cecchini is famous in his region as an actor. When he remarried, they all came from Chianti to pay their respects to the couple. Dario Cecchini is fullness and hospitality in one person, by daily spreading his passion for the local cuisine on bruschetta in his small butcher’s shop Antica Macelleria Cecchini and with the divine Burro del Chianti, a cream made from Lardo bacon that meets directly in the happiness center of regular customers and tourists.
At first there was only the Macelleria. Later he also opened a restaurant with the famous “Mac Dario”, a burger style of Dario with thick slices of Bistecca from the famous Chianina beef. They are grilled “on point” at long tables and in front of the guests in the open fireplace. Inside it is still raw and coated with Mario’s delicious spice mixture. Raw vegetables as a starter give a fresh balance.
What’s special is that Dario stands personally behind the counter of his Macelleria every day and takes care of the well-being of his guests. The most lively part is when he rings in the evening at 6 p.m. by offering a glass of red wine and a Lardo bread as an aperitif at the wooden table in the small Macelleria.
