In the shadow of the Ponte 25 de Abril and on a former factory site, the LX Factory, lies the 1300 Taberna and is surrounded by more than 150 studios, cafés, agencies, design stores and galleries. In a former warehouse, Moroccan chandeliers swing, red and black tables and chairs stand and are cooked in an open kitchen. The pasta comes with mushrooms and pumpkins, the duck with carrots and beetroot – and in addition industrial style blows through the rooms and almost feels like New York’s Meatpacking District. The Taberna is a little outside the center, but, always along the Rio Tejo, the tram almost drives to the front door. If one arrives by car, there are numerous parking places on the area.
